HUb Launches Its 7th Year of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health’s “Access to Excellence” Campaign

HUb recently launched a continuation of their award-winning “Access to Excellence” campaign for Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. Stanford Medicine Children’s Health (SMCH) is a world-renowned health care system exclusively dedicated to pediatric and obstetric care. With Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at its center,  SMCH is a network of more than 65 locations across the Bay Area and is considered one of the most respected pediatric healthcare networks of its kind. 

The creative for this campaign (which includes television, radio, digital banners, and paid social) continues to use the brand’s established colorful sets, simple animation overlays, crisp design and lighthearted humor. The iteration of this campaign focuses on the fact that SMCH pediatricians are not just limited to Palo Alto, but are accessible all across the Bay Area. 

“Hours, countless emails and rounds of back-and-forth with the Stanford marketing team go into preparation for the annual Stanford Medicine Children’s Health shoot days,” said Laiken Whitters, Associate Brand Director at HUb. “All that polish and professionalism, only to find ourselves on-set disrupted by a six-year-old actor declaring ‘I have to poop’”, said Whitters. “That pretty much sums up this campaign – beautifully designed and intentional, while flexible and of course, humorous. Honored to be a part of this team, and the work is great, too.”

One commercial features a little girl sitting on a bed with 65 stuffed animals, pretending to eat 65 donuts, while wearing 65 sweaters at the same time, in order to humorously communicate that SMCH has over 65 pediatric offices. Another lightheartedly uses alliteration to link common childhood illnesses with different towns across the Bay Area, to make the point that with so many locations, a SMCH office is likely just around the corner.
