HUb Launches a New Campaign for Illumio

Published August 28, 2025 by Ryan Schieber

HUb, the San Francisco based advertising and production company announced the launch of a new campaign for Illumio, a cybersecurity company that specializes in breach containment with their AI powered Zero Trust Segmentation Software.

Their latest ad features a class field trip to a generic looking company, where a patronizing Chief Information Security Officer shows the kids around the office and says it’s his job to make sure breaches never happen. At this point, the kids turn on him (comedically) and laugh at him for thinking he can stop all breaches.

It drives home the point that, despite what other cyber security companies might claim, breaches are inevitable – even a ten year old knows that. Instead of pretending that a breach will never happen, Illumio offers a solution that will contain any and all breaches before they turn into a big problem. Their tagline sums it up well: Breaches are inevitable. Disasters are optional.

“At HUb we have somehow found ourselves at the intersection of cyber security and children”, said Ryan Scheiber, Creative Director and Partner. “These kids are brutal–but really funny. And their acting ability at such young ages amazed us.”

“Thanks to everyone a Illumio for letting us have so much fun with this and for trusting us to bring a group of ten-year-olds to run wild in their office for the day,” said CEO of HUb, DJ O’Neil.

HUb Strategy and Communication is an integrated strategy, design, advertising and production company specializing in humor and based in San Francisco.
