Wide Area Networking (WAN) has been dominated by Cisco’s router-centric architecture, which was basically invented in the 1980’s. As a challenger brand, Silver Peak makes a cloud-based system that eliminates the need for Cisco’s antiquated routers. We created spokesperson Wayne McFarkus, IT extraordinaire who loves everything about the 80’s—except the technology. With his catchphrase, “Don’t get routered,” Wayne preaches his gospel anywhere he can—digital videos, vlogs, digital display, trade show booths, unique/experiential direct mail and mobile.

Initial results showed the digital campaign CTR was 320% above industry average, and the view through rate was 120% higher than industry average. Website visits were up 30% bringing over 1,000,000 unique users. The trade show booth traffic more than doubled and earned an unofficial “favorite booth” status as a must see for all attendees.
